    This is rather like choosing whether to renovate an existing house or to build a new house. It comes down to a number of factors: whether or not drawings or CAD of the existing mould are available; the extent of the modification; and lastly the condition of the mould. Four Star Engineering can discuss these options with you to achieve the best outcome for your needs.
  • What is the process of modifying a plastic injection mould?
    Four Star Engineering uses a combination of manufacturing technologies to modify injection moulds: Welding; inserts; CNC machining; and EDM spark erosion.
  • How long does it take to modify a plastic injection mould?
    Four Star Engineering endeavours to be as efficient as possible to help return your injection moulding tool to production in as little time as possible. Depending upon the complexity of the tool modification could take as little as a few days, or if more complex as long as a few weeks.
